Everyone is Important to God

I watched Glenn Beck talk about how close we are for a civil war in America. He had a convincing argument … I hope he is wrong. The closest thing I came to a civil war in my lifetime were the riots that followed the death of George Floyd. It was turbulence on steroids. It is common to take sides on issues, and have different political views, but when you see human beings from God’s perspective, it all changes.

I have a friend who uses a tag line of, “Everybody is a somebody to God.” I have modified it to “Everyone is important to God.”  In either case, God created us in His image, and we have significance to Him. In fact, God sent His Son, Jesus, to be our rescuer from the destruction of sin in our lives. Think about that for a moment … God loved us so much that He sent His Son to die in our place that we might have eternal life with Him. How can anyone deny this act of God as being anything but love for His creation. You are a somebody to God, and your importance to Him is seen by the death of the Savior Jesus Christ on the Cross.

God’s love draws us together, and our differences in worldviews separate us. God has no interest in your status in life, or the lack of it. He does not see you as a success or a failure, that does not matter to Him. What matters to Him is that you have the right perspective about God. God loves you and paid the ultimate price of His life on the Cross for your sins, making eternity with Him a reality for you. God’s number one concern is that you know Him as Savior and Lord. Have you made Jesus your Savior? When you do, it will change your life. To believe in Jesus is a simple invite of asking Him to be your Savior. Once you do that, ask Him to help you follow Him by learning His Word. Pursuing God in body, mind, and spirit is what people will call discipleship … it is learning to love God through your life.

The Marie Sandvik Center is a place of hope and change. The hope is in Jesus, and the change is in you. Pray this prayer. “Jesus, I want you as my Savior and Lord. Forgive me of my sins, and make me into a new person who loves and obeys you.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

If this prayer is your desire, talk to someone at the Marie Sandvik Center about your confession of Jesus, they can help you with any follow up questions you may have.
