Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry is a crucial component of the Marie Sandvik Center, aiming to engage, empower, and support young people in their spiritual journey. As the world continues to change and evolve, our role of youth ministry has become increasingly important in helping teenagers navigate the complexities of life, while also fostering a strong connection to their faith.

Adolescence is a critical stage in life, marked by significant physical, emotional, and cognitive changes. During this time, young people are also faced with numerous challenges, such as peer pressure, academic stress, and identity formation. The Marie Sandvik Center Youth Ministry serves as a safe space where teenagers can explore their faith, find guidance, and receive support from caring adults and peers.

Through our Youth Ministry, young people can develop a strong sense of belonging and identity within their faith community. This sense of belonging is essential in helping them navigate the challenges they face and fostering resilience. Additionally, our Youth Ministry provides opportunities for young people to develop leadership skills, engage in service projects, and participate in meaningful discussions about faith and life.

Our Youth Ministry plays a crucial role in the spiritual growth and development of the next generation. By providing a safe and supportive space for teenagers to explore their faith, develop leadership skills, and receive guidance and support, our Youth Ministry helps young people navigate the complexities of life and fosters a strong connection to their faith community.

As the world continues to evolve, it is essential for our Youth Ministry to adapt and innovate, incorporating new technologies and experiential learning opportunities to effectively engage and empower young people. By doing so, we can ensure that the next generation is equipped with the tools and resources needed to live out their faith and make a positive impact in the world. Through teaching and mentoring, we reinforce knowledge of the Bible and help our youth learn how to walk out and defend their faith.

Introducing the iCAN Program at the Marie Sandvik Center.

Through hands-on workshops, students learn goal setting, résumé writing, interview skills, and more ... while making friends, enjoying meals, and connecting with caring mentors. We also support alumni with job help, school support, Bible study, and community. Students leave iCan not only with practical tools, but with a sense of purpose, community, and hope for their future. Our goal is to see them not just get the job ... but thrive in life.

iCan prepares and equips students for success, not only at school, but at work and in life. Students receive training in goal setting, self discipline, resume creation, interview skills and much more.
