The Marie Sandvik Center needs YOU!

The Marie Sandvik Center Needs include:

MOST NEEDED YEAR-ROUND:
Linens: double-bed quilts, sheets, pillowcases, blankets, bath towels, dish towels, and old white tablecloths.
Baby layette articles: New and used baby shirts, diapers, plastic pants, bottles, sleepers, outer garments, quilts, toilet articles, receiving blankets, booties, and sweaters.
House wares: pots’n’pans, silverware, dishes, glasses, cups, can openers, and cooking utensils.
Food: (We serve meals six days a week plus distribute large food bags for the needy.) canned goods – soups, fruits, vegetables, peanut butter, jelly, meat, sugar, coffee, flour, cake mixes, cookies, eggs, dish soap, powered laundry detergent, toilet paper, soap, and Similac baby formula.

NEEDED ACCORDING TO SEASONS:
Children’s clothes, shoes, coats, jackets, and boots
Larger-sized women’s clothes and coats
Men’s and women’s clothes, shoes, boots, and coats.

CHRISTMAS SEASON NEEDS:
Christmas gifts: Please start to send new items to fit in shoe boxes beginning in October.
Children: (including babies, toddlers, pre-school and grad-school) small toys, stockings, mittens, gloves, caps, crayons, books, etc.
Teens: (need for both girls and boys) gloves/mittens, caps, scarves, pen/pencils, notebooks, combs, toothpaste, and toothbrushes.
Adults: (men and women) gloves, extra-large mittens/gloves, soap, toilet articles, men’s socks, dish towels, pillowcases, wash cloths, etc.

DELIVERIES:
• 9 AM -5 PM, Monday and Wednesday; 9 AM - 7 PM Tuesday and Friday. Please do not send deliveries on Thursday. Saturday delivery available, call to schedule.
• Remember to come to the side door on the east side (in parking lot)
• We are unable to take clothes during Bible school in the second week of August and the month of December due to using the rooms for other activities.
• Call ahead to arrange the delivery of truck size loads.

ALSO NEEDED:
• Dedicated Christian summer workers.
• Christian volunteer workers (15 years and older)
• Occasional need for a plumber, electrician, carpenter and a sheetrock/plaster person, for maintenance/repair.
• Christian youth groups to assist with children’s programs.
• Evangelical Christian Women’s groups to provide program and lunch on Thursday afternoons for 120-150 women and children
• Evangelical Christian Church groups to provide programs for evening services.

Prayer and financial support are always needed and appreciated!!  Consider the Marie Sandvik Center when you make out your will.
